BREAD & BUTTER.

Bread & Butter, one of Europe's largest fashion tradeshows, if not THE largest, made its triumphant return to Berlin. The company is actually headquartered here but for the past few years, it was based in Barcelona. I for one am happy about the return to Berlin. Barcelona is a fun city, but the show needed some change. I'm not saying they got everything right in Berlin, but it was definitely nice to have a change of scenery. And the venue they got was incredible. Most of these types of shows occur in conference centers or convention centers. Maybe something in a hotel. Usually very drab and cookie cutter. The boys at BBB got access to the recently closed Templehof Airport just outside of central Berlin. The architecture of this massive structure is just amazing. You often find yourself asking, "Am I really standing here? Doing business?" It's weird. There were some logistical bugs about getting around and such, but overall, the team at BBB did an awesome first job at making the best use of this site. Sorry, I don't have many photos since it was too damn busy. But here, you can see other shots of the show and site.
ヨーロッパの最大級のトレードショーの中の一つ、いや、もしかしたら一番かもしれない、Bread & Butterはベルリンに凱旋帰国しました。本社はここにありましたが、過去数年はバルセロナに拠点を置いていました。僕はベルリンに戻ってきたことを喜んでいる人々の中の一員です。バルセロナは楽しい都市でしたが、ショーは少し変化が必要でした。ベルリンに戻ってきて、全てが完璧ではありませんでしたが、場所が変わって一新したようです。そして開場はすばらしかった。こういうショーはたいがい会議場やコンベンションセンターなどで行われます。それか、時々ホテルでも。大体は単調で型にはまりすぎています。しかし、BBBのみんなはベルリンの中心部から外れて、最近閉鎖したTemplehof空港を借りることが出来ました。この巨大な建築物はすばらしかったです。「本当に僕はここにいるのか？仕事をしに？」と自分に問いかけていました。ちょっと不思議でした。移動などに関するいくつかの小さな問題があったものの、BBBチームはこの会場をとても良く活用できたと思います。とても忙しかったため、あまり写真はありません。ごめんなさい。でも、ここでは、ショーの写真がたくさん見れますよ。
