IMPRINT 2008.

I just came back from LA and the Imprint Conference. I had a great time and met a lot of inspiring people. This year's conference explored the different CULTS in CULTures. Cult of Gaming. Cult of Transportation. Cult of Collaboration. And Cult of Craft. The Keynote was from Kenya Hara, Creative Director of MUJI. That was THE BEST speech I have ever seen live. Mr. Hara-san truly is a visionary and thinks so outside the box, he's not even on the planet anymore. I spoke on the Cult of Collaboration panel with Dave from Kangol, Michael from Lomo and HF from Fragment. I also did a 1-2-1 with Hiroshi. I am getting into these 1-2-1 discussions (if you recall the one i did with Bobbito last month). I kind of like letting people feel like a fly on the wall while an intimate conversation is taking place with people I really admire and respect. Hopefully, some more images/videos will sprout up on the net so more people can see stuff from Imprint as well. More to come...
ロスでのImprint Conferenceから帰ってきたばかりです。とてもいい時間で、たくさんの人々に出会いインスパイアされました。今年の会議は文化（CULTure)の中にある色々なカルト(CULT)について探究しました。ゲーマーのカルト。乗り物のカルト。コラボレーションのカルト。そして技巧のカルト。Keynoteは無印良品のクリエーティブディレクターの原研哉さんでした。僕が今まで生で聞いたスピーチの中で一番でした。原さんはビジョンを真に持った方で、決められた枠から突き破る考え方を持ち、あまりにも進歩的な考え方は、この世のものではありません。僕はコラボレーションのカルトについて、KangolのDave、LomoのMichaelとFragmentのHFとパネルに参加しました。そして、ヒロシと1−2−1もやりました。この1−2−1のディスカッションにはハマっています（先月Bobbitoとのを思い出してください）。僕がとても尊敬する人達との親密な会話を壁にとまったハエが盗み聞きしている感覚で見てもらえたらいいかなと思っています。多くの人がImprintについて知られるようもっと写真やビデオがネット上にアップされてくれることを願ってます。続きは後ほど。。。

This is Hiroshi's first ever custom Porter bag. This bag would be the precursor to the brand Headporter. It's well over 15 years old. He brought it as an example of what "collaboration" is all about. So dope. Wonder how much this would fetch on ebay? Haha.
"I don't know Hiroshi, I thought I saw your bag here a second ago...don't know where it could have gone....."
これがヒロシのはじめてのカスタムPorterバッグ。これがHeadporterというブランドの先駆けとなるバッグ。15年以上のものです。「コラボレーション」というものの例として持ってきたそうです。ほんとにドープ。ネットオークションでどのぐらいの額になるだろう？ハハハ。
「知らないよ、ヒロシ、さっきバッグを見たけど。。。どこにいっちゃったのかな。。。」
